CSU Poetry Center Lighthouse Reading Series Presents Philip Metres and Lauren Shapiro

Hear acclaimed Cleveland poet Philip Metres read with Lauren Shapiro at the upcoming CSU Poetry Center Lighthouse Reading. A professor at John Carroll, Metres is the author of numerous books of poetry and translation including Sand Opera (Alice James Books, 2015) and I Burned at the Feast: Selected Poems of Arseny Tarkovsky (Cleveland State University Poetry Center, 2015). Shapiro is the author of Easy Math (Sarabande, 2013) and Yo-Yo Logic (DIAGRAM/New Michigan Press, 2011). She has translated creative work from Spanish, Italian, Vietnamese, and Arabic. The reading will be held in CSU’s Main Classroom Building, Room 134.
