Where and what to eat and drink this week

On Saturday, April 20

Latitude 41 N will feature Breakfast Menage A Trois. For just $4.95 diners will get two eggs, two strips of bacon, a homemade sausage patty, house potatoes and toast. Also included is a cup of Colombian or flavored coffee. For an extra buck, you can choose two more sides from a list that includes delights like pan-seared oatmeal, fresh fruit and French toast pancakes. This French-themed special is also offered Monday to Friday as well until 11 a.m.

On Saturday, April 20

Farm-to-table trailblazer Flying Fig will offer a Saturday version of its popular Sunday brunch. Until further notice, diners can enjoy mouthwatering items like a house-made granola parfait, corn and andouille sausage hot cakes, huevos rancheros, and a grilled eggplant sandwich. It's so good, you might consider returning on Sunday.

On Sunday, April 21

Don's Lighthouse Grille once again runs its popular $2 Mussel Sundays. Since 1972, Don's has been known for its historic structure, elegant restaurant, and wonderful seafood and steaks. For seafood lovers, Sundays here offer one of the best deals in town. Diners in the bar area can enjoy a dozen Prince Edward Island mussels for just $2. At that price guests can double-up – heck, even triple-up – to build an entire meal around those tasty bivalves. Promotion runs Sundays from 4 to 9 p.m.

On Monday, April 22

The Grovewood Tavern & Wine Bar will host a Southern Tier Beer Dinner showcasing the brews of the well regarded Lakewood, New York, brewery. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the six-course dinner kicks off with asparagus, watermelon and radish salad paired with the Tier's 422 Pale Wheat Ale. Another course partners milk-braised pork ragu and pappardelle with Tier's 2X Stout. Tier's Unearthly Imperial IPA gets hooked up with a grilled NY strip, while Southern Tier's Choklat Stout is used to create a Choklat float. Cost is $48 per person and reservations are required.

On Wednesday, April 24

Sushi Rock will host a Spring Wine Dinner. This five-course wine pairing dinner is pure East meets West. The first course treats guests to horiataki salad paired with Italian pinot grigio. Another course pairs an Argentinean malbec with Sushi Rock's signature surf and turf. It all ends on a sweet note with California Moscato and homemade cheesecake. The dinner begins at 7 p.m., costs $35 per person, and reservations are a must.
