Dan Miraldi & the Albino Winos/Good Morning Valentine/Uptight Sugar/Mike Uva

When: Wed., Dec. 27, 8 p.m. 2017
Price: $8 ADV, $10 DOS
"The Sweet Sound of Protest," the rousing opening number on Love Under Fire, the latest effort from former Clevelander Dan Miraldi, features distorted guitars and parched vocals as Miraldi beckons, "Give it to me now." He wrote the song just after the election; he was on tour with the local rock band Welshly Arms at the time. He recorded the track locally at Welshly Arms' studio in Avon Lake, and they back him on the song. Other highlights include the EP's title track, which has a Beatles feel to it, and the Stones-y "Name of Love." Expect to hear these tunes and more at tonight's show that reunites Miraldi with his old backing band. (Niesel)
