Deals Gone Bad Club Concert

When: Fri., Sept. 28, 7 p.m. 2012
Price: $10
A ska/rocksteady/ reggae band from Chicago, Deals Gone Bad has roots that go back 15 years. Their 1996 debut CD, Orgasmico, was the beginning of their Jamaican/American inspired sound. Multiple line-up changes later, they’re riding out their ninth (self) release, the Far From Home EP, where they pay tribute to Otis Redding with a reggae version of “These Arms of Mine.” In the wake of Riot Fest, the hardcore festival that the band just played, it has embarked on a short Midwest tour that will take it through the end of the year. The live shows are punk rock parties so you’ll want to put on your dancing shows for this gig. (Hunt)
