Dog Gone

When: Wed., Oct. 30 2013
Price: $9
When a Tibetan sheep herder realizes poachers have been stealing exotic mastiffs and selling them on a black market for millions, he decides to sell his dog before it's stolen, infuriating his father who loved the creature. The father then goes to extremes to get the dog back. That's the premise of Old Dog, the latest film from rising Tibetan director Pema Tseden (The Silent Holy Stories, The Search). While the plot doesn't sound like much of a story, the movie has won countless awards at film festivals. It makes its Cleveland premiere tonight at 7 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9.
