Dy-no-mite! Staff Pick

When: Thu., Dec. 5 2013
If 76-year-old comic Bill Cosby, who just recently hosted a Comedy Central special, was able to make a comeback, maybe there's hope for Jimmie Walker. Famous for the catchphrase "Dy-no-mite!" which he used while portraying J.J. Evans on the popular sit-com Good Times, Walker was doing standup before he started acting. He regularly speaks out on political issues (he calls himself a "realist independent") so expect to hear some political commentary when he performs tonight at Thistledown's Comedy Zone. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $15. He also performs at the club tomorrow and Saturday at 8 and 10 p.m. (Niesel)
