Columbus-born local legends Ekoostik Hookah have the Ohio jam scene locked down. If you’re in the know, then you know. But to the uninitiated: Hookah shows are celebrations of music, life and wonder. The band’s undergone its changes over the years, but 1991’s Under Full Sail remains mandatory listening for anyone trying to get down. In 2007, the band revitalized that classic with updated studio and live takes. Tonight — and any night the band hits the stage — beautiful vocal harmonies will soar alongside mind-bending guitar work and Eric Lanese’s top-tier drumming. The Beachland, honestly, is the ideal place to catch a show from these guys. UV Hippo opens the festivities, which is a nice cherry on top of this whole thing. (Eric Sandy)
