Ohio Homecoming and the Cleveland New Years Alliance proudly present the "Cleveland Rocks New Year's Eve — Electric Ice" event in Public Square. The free festival-like party will have food trucks, a beer garden, live ice sculpting, fireworks and more. Live beats by headlining electronic dance music band Krewella will get you moving and help to combat the cold. Native Clevelander Drew Carey will be in attendance, along with other Cleveland celebrities like newly re-elected Mayor Frank Jackson and Ed Fitzgerald. Carey will deliver the countdown into 2014, which will be broadcasted live on 19 Action News for all of Northeast Ohio. The event is free and runs from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. While it may not be as iconic as the ball dropping in Times Square, it's a step towards starting a tradition that puts Cleveland on the map as a New Year's Eve destination.
