Emily's Army/Desert Sharks/Sweepyheads/Pipe Dream

When: Wed., Sept. 3, 7:30 p.m. 2014
Price: $10
Emily’s Army began in the early 2000s when Max and Cole Becker recruited best friend Joey Armstrong (son of punk icon Billie Joe Armstrong) to play cover tunes. They were just kids, but they quickly learned how play their instruments. Only a bit older now, they’ve since moved on to original material and songs such as the snotty “The Rescuers” will remind you of early Green Day. Warp Tour veterans, these teens have more miles under their collective belts than most musicians in their twenties. (Niesel)
