Eugene Therapy

When: Thu., Feb. 13 2014
Best known for his role as “Gene” in the animated television program Bob’s Burgers, Eugene Mirman is also well known as a standup comic. As strange as that cartoon character is, his fans know that it’s about as normal as Mirman gets. This guy is the weird kid you knew that ate his own boogers and never changed when he grew up. His act includes bizarre sketches. In one, he has a conversation with an alien about gay marriage. In another, he portrays Bingbongavex, the world’s first prescription-strength clown fertility aid. His bizarre in-your-face style shifts from quirky observational jokes to sickeningly mad stories that are sure to give you a few deep laughs. Tonight’s show at Mahall’s starts at 8, and tickets are $15. (Eric Gonzalez)
