Before Tom Turkaly shutters his three-year-old gallery this month, he'll present one more show — one that pays tribute to his sculptor father. Revisited Themes: The Works of Joseph Turkaly features 20 pieces designed to contrast the elder Turkaly's figurative style from the '50s with his realist works from 1989, the year he retired as a Gilmour Academy art teacher. "I'm not sure if his style changed because of retiring," says Tom."But it was rather abrupt." Tonight's 6 p.m. reception will be the last at the gallery; it closes March 31. "I'm moving on to internet art shows," says Turkaly. "I'll still be in business — just not through a brick-and-mortar gallery."
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: March 4. Continues through March 25
