Final Word

What's the worst concert you saw this summer?

"We've all seen Revenge of the Nerds, right? Remember how they all played in the band -- with the keyboards and shit? I saw Interpol this past Monday (9/26), and they rocked, but Boom Bip sucked. I wanted to storm the stage and unplug their 'equipment' -- and sadly, they thought they rocked."

-- Melody Hively, Youngstown

"Mötley Crüe at Blossom -- because we weren't on the bill."

-- Ralf Shepard, drummer for Black Market Massacre, Cleveland

"I went to Sounds of the Underground, and every other band sucked. Strapping Young Lad was surprisingly good. Opeth was very bad and boring. Unearth was amazing. Clutch was the most boring band I've ever seen. Chimaira was probably the best performance of the night -- they're the band that really got the venue moving and pumped. They did not disappoint at all."

-- Frank Killjoy, Cleveland
