White House chef fires up the grills in Akron.

Former presidential chef Walter Scheib dishes up a succulent dinner and equally juicy gossip at tonight’s Direct From the White House event. While guests nosh on a five-course meal at the Carousel Dinner Theatre, Scheib (who cooked for Bill Clinton and George W. Bush) will talk about his new book, The White House Chef. The memoir-cum-cookbook reveals recipes of First Family staples like braised pork tenderloin and sweet-potato soup. Scheib -- who was replaced by one of his assistants a couple of years ago -- will also spill the beans on the presidents’ favorite foods. Despite rumors and punch lines, Clinton rarely ate Big Macs, he says. And Dubya lives for leftovers.
