Force Continuum

When: Fri., Oct. 30 2015
A hot topic, the issue of police of use has proven to be a divisive one. Tonight, Karamu Theater tackles the issue with the production of playwright Kia Corthron’s Force Continuum, which opens with a 7:30 p.m. and then runs through Sunday, Nov. 22. Local writer and playwright Michael Oatman directs the play about an African-American family that features three generations of police officers. Additionally, Karamu will host two community talkbacks after the Sunday matinee performances on November 8 and November 22. Karamu CEO Tony Sias and marketing director Daniel Gray-Kontar will moderate the discussions that will feature special guests as Dr. Ronnie Dunn, a CSU Professor of Urban Studies and member of Ohio Governor John Kasich’s Police and Community Relations Task Force. Tickets are $37. (Niesel)
