Forever in Terror/Below the Tide/Among the Fallen/Under a Dead Sky/Foul Spirits/Entity of Extinction/Vanity Strikes/Contacts & Confidence/Enacting an Era

Local heavy metal heroes Forever in Terror don't deviate from their signature sound on their first new CD in four years. Much like a System of a Down track, the single "Demons" starts out as a blast of white noise that features gruff, parched vocals and shredding guitars (courtesy of original guitarist John Burke, who's rejoined the group) before a more melodic bridge. Tim "No. 37" Martinez, host of the USA Network's Hate the Hate, will MC this CD release show that features a slew of local metal and hardcore acts. Fans can buy the new album before it's officially released; it doesn't come out until Oct. 29. (Niesel)
