The Rock Hall hosts a series of free events today in honor of MLK Day. Events include a performance by the Antioch Spiritual Arts Choir, performances from the inner-city group the Distinguished Gentlemen of Spoken Word and two free classes (“Rock and Roll and Civil Rights Movement” and “Cleveland is the City”) focusing on music’s role in our culture on both a national and local level. Other activities include a movie entitled The Night James Brown Saved Boston, various performances by local children and a recording of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, among many others. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today. (Trenholme)
