Friendly Fire

Everyone has had that childhood best friend and in most cases you end up grow apart. The film Cry of the City puts a twist on the whole thing. Two childhood friends reunite after years and now one of them is a cop while the other is a cop killer. They face a life or death struggle in New York City. The film does a great job of dramatizing’s two friends reuniting after years of being apart. It screens as part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s series on film-noir master Robert Siodmak. This is a special 35mm print on loan from Siodmak’s own archives. It shows tonight at 7. Tickets are $10. (Dangel)
