Fun and Frivolity

When: Fri., June 20 2014
The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival’s first effort this year is the always-popular comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and this one is quite a hoot. Directed with infectious good humor and sprightly wit by Dusten Welch, the 90-minute intermission-less romp is, you should pardon the expression, fun for the whole family. Director Welch has double- and triple-cast the roles, which makes for some entertaining juxtapositions. Free performances take place tonight and tomorrow night at 7 at Lakewood Park and at 7 on Sunday night at Cuyahoga Community College’s West Campus in Parma. (Christine Howey)
