This years run includes a 5K for the first time. The Health & Wellness Pavilion also makes its debut, providing blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. Proceeds benefit diversity education in more than 150 local schools. Participants vie for commemorative T-shirts and sweatshirts, but everyones a winner, since contestants get to check out the Rock Hall and the neighboring Great Lakes Science Center for free all day. Traditional music and dance groups will also perform along the three-mile downtown route. It keeps the walkers pumped, says Fisher.
