Ghost Stories Staff Pick

When: Wed., March 4 2015
In his latest book, Great Lakes Folklore: Legends of the Five Sisters, local scribe Charles Cassady Jr. follows up his earlier book Paranormal Great Lakes with "authentic (or semi-authentic) yarns from Lakes Erie, Huron, Ontario, Superior, Michigan and St. Clair." The tome includes a bit of everything — ghost ships, prison hulks, curses, lake monsters, lost submarines. Cassidy even speculates that Oliver Hazard Perry might have been the target of a murder scheme during the Battle of Lake Erie. He speaks tonight at 7 at the Euclid Public Library. Admission is free but registration is requested. (Niesel)
