Gimme a Break-UpComic guru puts the kibosh on doomed talk show, bad relationships.

San Francisco-born comic Greg Behrendt admits he's a "bad-decision expert." Case in point: His ill-fated talk show, which ran for a season in 2006. "I certainly enjoyed it," says the 44-year-old Behrendt. "At the same time, it was a struggle to do what they said we were going to do, and not turn it into what it became on some days — which was nothing more than a spiky-haired Ricki Lake."With the program now behind him, Behrendt is focusing on his stand-up career, with five shows slated this weekend in Cleveland. He plans on spending part of his set on the same relationship questions he tackled in his books, He's Just Not That Into You and It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken. "I'd venture to say it'll be one of the best nights that the audience will have this year, because I've been doing it for 19 years," says Behrendt. "I'm good at it, and it's something that I really care about." Showtimes are at 8 tonight and 7:30 and 10:15 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday at Hilarities, 2035 East Fourth Street. Tickets are $20 to $25.
