A happy-hour reveler will score a one-year lease to a 2008 Volvo at tonight's Largest After-Work Party. The second-annual blowout features a car raffle to benefit both the Children's Miracle Network and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. It also spotlights a silent auction of goodies, including Cleveland sports memorabilia, private wine-tastings, and a four-course dinner for two at the Ritz Carlton. The fund-raiser must be worth it: Last year, it pulled in $8,000 while yuppy bidders got tanked on champagne and Bloody Marys. "Who wants to go home from work on a Friday?" asks organizer Yolanda Miller. "This will be the best party ever."
