The current owner of Tri-Acres mansion at 1075 West Market Street in Akron understands the importance of keeping a historic home up to date.
Since purchasing the mansion, formerly owned by the co-founder of Goodyear, Charles Willard Seiberling, in 1988, Akron businessman Robert Warther has reportedly put in about $1 million into the property to help restore it back to its original glory.
Finished in 1913 by craftsman from Europe and America, the home was also once owned by Michael O'Neil of O'Neil's department stores and General Tire and Rubber.
The 3-story home is a mere 17,000 square feet and includes 37 rooms, 12 fireplaces, and gorgeous wood floors made of Brazilian walnut. It also has central air and a Koi pond out back.
The property is up for sale for $1.7 million. It could be used for residential or business purposes.
