Halloween-a-go-go Staff Pick

When: Sat., Oct. 26 2013
You’d be hard-pressed to find a Cleveland band better suited to playing a special Halloween rock concert than Dead Federation. Led by longtime punk and former Knifedance and Stepsister front man Tom Dark, Dead Federation evokes campy punk acts like the Cramps and the Misfits. That’s perfect because at tonight’s show at Old Haunts Tavern in Akron, each band must play two Misfits songs (or tracks by offshoots Samhain/Danzig). Creeper & His Pals, Reverend Morbid, Urban Pirates and Slitt & the Back Alley Abortionists round out the bill. The music starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free. (Niesel)
