Healing Hands

When: Fri., Nov. 29 2013
Because Touchy Feely, an indie flick from director Lynn Shelton (Your Sister's Sister, Humpday), has such a flimsy premise (a massage therapist develops a fear of touching people and takes a journey to find herself), it's hard to stick with the film despite its stellar cast. Rosemarie DeWitt, Ellen Page and Josh Pais all turn in excellent performances but the theme about how healing yourself begins with helping others is just too heavy-handed. It makes its Cleveland premiere at 7 tonight and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
