Heights Arts Reopening

When: Fri., Sept. 4 2015
After spending the summer making significant gallery renovations, Heights Arts reopens its exhibition space with two new shows. Heights Arts celebrates its reopening and new exhibitions with a special reception today from 6 to 9 p.m. Emergent 2015 is a new annual exhibition designed to showcase recent graduates from the region’s many art programs. Emergent 2015 features painting, prints, mixed media, sculpture, fiber, glass and site-specific installations. Additionally, Heights Arts will honor the Jean, Harry and Brenda Fuchs Family Foundation for their commitment to local arts by naming the renovated gallery space in their honor. Seven paintings by Brenda Fuchs (1939-2011) will be included in the inaugural installation. Emergent 2015 runs through Oct. 17. At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, Heights Arts hosts an artist talk and reading of original poems by local writers inspired by the work in the gallery. Free. (Usmani)
