VIDEO GAME -- Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars: This real-time strategy series has been around forever. But this Xbox 360 version is the first you can really call action-packed. Forty years from now, a radioactive alien goo spreads all over the planet. It's your job to contain it by positioning troops, wielding weapons, and outsmarting the enemy. Intelligent, fast, and most of all, fun to play.
TV -- Guys' Choice: Tracy Morgan hosts Spike TV's first-annual awards show for people with testicles. Categories include Biggest Ass Kicker, Hottest Girl on the Planet, and Best Gangstertainment. We're pulling for Dominic Monaghan (Lost's tiny Charlie) in the Luckiest Bastard category -- he's dating co-star Evangeline Lilly. Plus, the Hottest Jessica (Alba or Biel?) will finally be decided. It airs at 10 p.m. Wednesday.
BOOK -- Roadwork: Rock & Roll Turned Inside Out: Photographer Tom Wright was just out of his teens when he joined pal Pete Townshend on the road. This volume features tons of black-and-white pics of British Invasion heavies like the Rolling Stones, the Faces, and, of course, the Who. The Eagles, the James Gang, and Howlin' Wolf also make appearances. Co-author Susan VanHecke provides plenty of sex- and drug-drenched stories.
DVD -- Tex Avery's Droopy: The Complete Theatrical Collection: Avery created a whole set of classic cartoon characters, including the horny, bug-eyed wolf and the busty, leggy bombshell. This two-disc set features one of his greatest inventions -- a sad-eyed dog who always seemed to have an arsenal of dynamite at his disposal. The 24 shorts are funny, racy, and timeless. A documentary and gag reel round out the bonus materials.
COURTESY FLUSH, PLEASE -- Surf's Up: Yet another talking-animal movie -- this one even manages to star a rebellious penguin for added formula points. Just like Happy Feet! The animation looks great, and the documentary-style narrative (about a surfing penguin, voiced by Shia LaBeouf) is a novel touch. Too bad there's no story to hang 10 on.
