Hex Marks the Spot

The folks at the Museum of Contemporary Art pride themselves on their ability to mix cutting edge music with cutting edge art. HEX: A Bewitching Benefit for MOCA Cleveland features the best of both worlds. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a farm-to-table dinner from Marigold Catering. A live auction featuring works of top contemporary artists follows. Sarah Mudge, senior specialist of contemporary art at Phillips, an international auction house, hosts. And at 9 p.m., J. Viewz, a songwriter, remixer and visual artist performs, and a silent auction follows. At 11 p.m., the duo Hood Internet spins mash-ups of hip-hop and indie rock outside the museum under a big tent while other performances continue inside until 1 a.m. Tickets range from $25 to $300.
