If you're among those who think that the WWE's bimonthly stops at the Gund aren't frequent enough, Cleveland All Pro Wrestling has your ticket. The monthly homegrown hoedown comes complete with bruising body slams, widow-making moves, and crippling crossfaces. "I've been doing this for 12 years, and I'm going to keep on doing it," says founder JT Lightning (pictured). Joining Lightning are such pleasantly named grapplers as SINN, M Dogg 20, and the BasketNazi -- all of whom will enter the ring at Turner's Hall on Sunday. "We present wrestling how it used to be, with a touch of how it is now," says Lightning. "It's family-oriented entertainment." The kid-friendly ass-whuppin' starts at 6 p.m. at Turner's Hall, 7325 Guthrie Avenue. Tickets are $10 to $12. Call 216-476-2397 for more information. -- Fred Wright

The Buzzards return to Hinckley Sunday! "When we first moved from Pennsylvania, we caught a lot of flak about our name," admits Berea resident Robert Buzzard. Now, Bob and his brood hawk whirligigs, signs, and other crafts at Buzzard Day. For the past few years, the Metroparks has invited people surnamed Buzzard to the celebration marking the return of turkey vultures. Several dozen Buzzards make the trip annually (but you needn't be a Buzzard to attend). "There's a small gathering to determine common lineage," says Paul Buzzard, who migrated from Chicago to Westlake. "But we haven't found [any] yet." The free 47th outing -- which includes food, crafts, and games -- runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hinckley Reservation's roost, at the corner of West Drive and State Road in Hinckley Township; call 440-526-1012. -- Lucy McKernan

Courses of Action

It must be spring -- Cleveland Metroparks golf season is beginning. So clean off your balls and hit the fairways! The park district's courses -- Little Met, Mastick Woods, Manakiki in Willoughby Hills, Sleepy Hollow in Brecksville, Shawnee Hills in Bedford, and Big Met in Fairview Park -- offer various layouts and degrees of difficulty. "They're a great community resource," says local linker Mike Tierney. "For golfers, there's no better value in the area. Or anywhere, actually." The courses are open daily from dawn to dusk through December. Call 440-232-7247 for fees and more information. -- Michael Gallucci
