Located in Downtown’s Warehouse District, Gallery 1299 is hosting an opening for its latest exhibition, Idolatry, from 8 to midnight tonight, the night before Christmas Eve. Idolatry includes work by Soledad "PaintedOver" Vasquez and Gallery 1299 owner Will "Topiltzin" Sanchez. The evening includes live music by Meganne Stepka. Idolatry is an art exhibition themed around humanity’s timeless and universal quest for faith and spiritual evolution through art that reflects beauty and projects hope of escaping the chaos and suffering in the world. During the reception, Gallery 1299 hosts the “Art Claim” for its Artnarchy: Random Acts of Kindness Scavenger Hunt.
