On Sunday, April 1, 2012 the Asian Indian Heritage Project (AIHP)
will be hosting Mr. Samip Mallick, President of South Asian American Digital Archive
(SAADA). During this community-wide event Mr. Mallick will be presenting an
interactive dialogue on how communities can preserve their cultural legacies.
This will be a landmark event when Cleveland residents come together to have their
voice heard and start to map out a blueprint for communities to follow. Clevelanders will
stand together and demonstrate the importance of having their cultural legacy
documented.
We will also engage in an open discussion on the following questions:
• What do you want future generations to know about the community of today?
• Which organizations and individuals in Northeast Ohio should be included in the
archive?
• How can we represent the diversity of the community?
• What aspects of your ethnic history do you wish you knew more about?
Please come ready to discuss and bring questions of your own!
This is a one time engagement which is free and open to the public. Light refreshments
will be served.
