Tonight at 7:30, the CWRU department of modern languages and literatures and the department of physical education and athletics team up with the university's Film Society and Spartan baseball team to present a screening of Italian American Baseball Family at Strosacker Auditorium. Immediately following the screening of the movie, filmmaker Roberto Angotti and a panel of renowned Cleveland Indians' historians and authors will lead a discussion on the Italian American Cleveland Indians. The film documents the Italian American experience and how Italians assimilated into popular culture through baseball. Participating panelists include authors Scott Longert, Joseph Wancho, and John McMurray, all of whom have written extensively about baseball. Free tickets are available via the website. (Niesel)
