Jadakiss/Peerless/L-Dro

When: Wed., April 27, 8:30 p.m. 2016
Price: $25-$75
Yonkers, NY native Jadakiss is a hip-hop veteran who first hit the scene with his group The LOX. The trio made an appearance on The Notorious B.I.G.'s posthumous album Life After Death in 1997 and their first hit single was "We'll Always Love Big Poppa" which was the B-side to Puff Daddy's own tribute, the heartfelt "I'll Be Missing You." The LOX' first album, Money, Power & Respect was released in 1998 and went platinum. Although the crew was successful, they found themselves discontented with their record label and launched a grass roots "Let The LOX Go" movement, which culminated in the crew taking their talents to Ruff Ryders Entertainment. Their second album, the 2000 release, We Are the Streets, had more of an edge. As a solo artist, Jadakiss has released four albums to date that have spawned hits like "We Gonna Make It," "Knock Yourself Out," "Why" and "By Your Side," among others. The raspy-voiced assassin is expected to bring those and much more to the intimate Grog Shop stage. (Emanuel Wallace)
