Best known for 1959's Kind of Blue, the best-selling jazz album ever, Miles Davis is one of the great jazz trumpet players of all time. Tonight and tomorrow night at the Hanna Theatre, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra presents Miles Davis: A Unique Tribute to an Uncommon Mind, a program that will revisit music from Davis' Big Band days of the '40s and '50s. Jo Geibard, author of Miles and Jo. Love Story in Blue, will give a pre-show talk at 7:30 with local jazz broadcaster Bobby Jackson. The concert starts at 8. Tickets are $25 to $45. (Niesel)
