Latino Heritage Fest

When: Sun., Aug. 28 2011
If all you know about Hispanic entertainment is the macarena, check out today's Latino Heritage Festival at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The fun begins on the plaza at 3 p.m., with performances by Ismael Miranda, Sammy de Leon y su Orquesta, reggaeton artist Divino, and dance troupe Grupo Isla del Encanto. To go with, JiBARO Gourmet Food Truck will be cooking up the spicy Latin eats. Once you've had your fill, head inside for a screening of the award-winning PBS documentary Chicano Rock! The Sounds of East Los Angeles, which repeats from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Plaza admission is free, but you'll have to shell out $22 to see the screening and the rest of the Rock Hall. — Barnes
