Length Matters

When: Sun., Oct. 12 2014
In the mood for some arthouse porn from the director who brought you the Netflix Instant vom-fest Antichrist? You’re in luck: Today at 3:30 p.m., the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque screens Nymphomaniac, Vol. 1: The Director’s Cut, Lars Von Trier’s latest and most sexually explicit epic to date. Shia LeBeouf, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Uma Thurman and Stellan Skarsgaard do some really freaky stuff. A screening of Vol. 2 follows at 7 p.m. The “director’s cut” versions are long: Vol. 1 clocks in at a whopping 150 minutes and Vol. 2 will take 180 minutes out of your life. Tickets are $12; no one under 18 is permitted. (Allard)
