Comedian Lil Duval likes to make light of his hardships. He’s broke. His baby mama takes all his money and it’s Beyonce’s fault. When he prays, he can’t even keep his train of thought from wandering to random things. Poor dude doesn’t even get paid for an appearance with Arsenio Hall! While his humor borders on the self-deprecating, he can certainly hold his own. Hailing from Duval County, Fla., he’s appeared in several music videos, has released two underground comedy DVDs and writes for Ozone magazine. While his jokes can run a little dry at times, he’s a pretty likeable guy. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight and shows are scheduled through Sunday at the Improv. Tickets start at $20. (Trenholme)
