Living Dangerously

When: Fri., Nov. 4 2016
As the fall semester continues at the Cleveland Institute of Art, its Reinberger Gallery debuts a new exhibition featuring two artists from outside Cleveland. Living Dangerously features the work of American artist Angela Dufresne and British-born Nicola Tyson. Described as an intuitive, free-associate process, Tyson’s work includes 15 drawings that explore “the figure not as an object to be sensationalized, but as an instrument through which we perceive our physical and psychological worlds.” Brooklyn-based Angela Dufresne combines art theory and thoughtful brushwork into her large-scale paintings. Dufresne is a 2016 Guggenheim Fellow. Living Dangerously opens with a reception from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight and remains on view through Dec. 16. Free. (Usmani)
