Deciding that French pianist Lucas Debargue gave the most talented performance at the 2015 Tchaikovsky Competition, the Moscow Music Critics Association awarded him their prize as a way of compensating for Debargue's fourth-place finish at the competition. The association described him as “the pianist … whose incredible gift, artistic vision and creative freedom have impressed the critics as well as the audience.” Tonight, the pianist makes his Cleveland debut when he performs at 8 p.m. in Reinberger Chamber Hall at Severance Hall. Tickets start at $39. (Niesel)
