This is a past event.
When: Mon., Sept. 15 2014
Earlier this summer, a neon-painted bus called Furthur began a trek across the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the trip that inspired Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. That trip included stops at numerous Grateful Dead concerts. Since the Dead is no longer around (may Jerry Garcia rest in peace), jam bands Aliver Hall and Big Leg Emma will perform tonight at the Kent Stage when the bus rolls through town. Event organizer Zane Kesey, the son of author Ken Kesey, is the man behind the wheel and will have a band of Merry Pranksters with him. Escape Pod will also perform. Doors open at 7 and tickets are $10. (Niesel)
