Magical Moonrise

When: Thu., March 13 2014
Leading up to the premier of Wes Anderson's newest film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Capitol Theatre is showing a couple of Anderson's classics. Tonight, they're showing 2012's Moonrise Kingdom. Set in the days leading up to a major storm in 1965, two quirky and curious kids runaway from their New England island homes. While the films stars such icons like Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand and Edward Norton, Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward's portrayal of the two misfit children make the film a lovable adventure. Full of heartwarming scenes of young love captured with Anderson's signature filmmaking style, Moonrise Kingdom is one of his finest works. The film screens tonight at 7:30. Tickets are $5.
