Fat Tuesday is your last chance to go all-out before giving up a bunch of fun stuff for Lent, and there's not a better place to celebrate it than Fat Fish Blue. This year, the big Fish's downtown location turns 10, and the party will be an all-day parade of stilt walkers, fire dancers, and musicians, all decked out in costumes, masks, and beads. Music kicks off at 1:30 p.m., with swamp pop and zydeco by Cats on Holiday, followed at 5 by rump-shaking blues from Tony Koussa Jr. and at 8 by spicy blues from the Swamp Boogie Band. But the top draw is an all-you-can-eat buffet of piping-hot Cajun food, which they'll replenish all day and night, filling it with gumbo, andouille sausage, crawfish, Mumbo Jambalaya, Jack Daniel's-glazed pecan chicken, and roasted alligator. Get there at noon and pace yourself — you can squeeze at least four meals out of it. And it may well take you a full 40 days to recover.
