Market Garden Brewery and Distillery’s Brews and Prose Program

When: Tue., Feb. 5, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: Free
With Market Garden Brewery and Distillery’s Brews and Prose program, you no longer have to choose between a night with a great book and good drinks and better company. Market Garden’s speaker series brings locally and nationally renowned authors together with the public for evenings of informal conversation over Market Garden’s fine selection of beer and spirits. This month, Michael Heaton, the Minister of Culture himself, and Oberlin author Pauline Chen have words for you. Heaton has graced the Plain Dealer since 1987 with reporting and color commentary written in the tone of a rascal uneasily settling down. Two collections of his writings, The Best of the Minister of Culture and Truth and Justice for Fun and Profit have been published. Chen, a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese at Oberlin College, is author of The Red Chamber, a novel of personal desperation and political turmoil in 18th century China.
