Mathematical Geniuses

When: Tue., April 22 2014
Tonight at the Happy Dog’s monthly lecture series, Life, the Universe and Hot Dogs, Dr. Danny Solow of Case Western Reserve University’s department of organization and management will discuss what mathematicians do (other than drink beer and eat hot dogs, of course). According to the press release about the event, he’ll talk about how “applied mathematicians try to figure out how the universe works and theoretical mathematicians try to figure out why the universe works.” Sounds pretty heady. Good thing there’s plenty of booze available. The talk starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free. (Niesel)
