Miller's Tale

When: Wed., May 21 2014
Lauren Miller is an author and TV writer from Atlanta who now lives in Los Angeles — but she’ll be in Cleveland tonight, at Visible Voice Books in Tremont, to read from her new novel Free to Fall about our society’s increasing reliance on technology, and the ramifications of that reliance. The novel envisions an app called LUX which optimizes decision-making and affects human interaction “from which coffee to order” to “whom to date.” It’s an imaginative sci-fi thriller and Miller will be only too pleased to talk about how she dreamt it all up when you come visit her at the bookshop, have a glass of wine, and buy her book for good measure. She’ll be chilling at Visible Voice Books from 6 to 8 this evening. (Allard)
