Rhonda Crowder, coordinator at literacy advocates Hough Reads, comes to moCa and invites participants to read aloud with our Gund Curatorial Fellow La Tanya Autry, and explore the texts that influenced Temporary Spaces of Joy and Freedom. Texts include the article from which the exhibition gets its name and excerpts from Saidiya Hartman’s Wayward Lives, Beautiful Experiments: Intimate Stories of Social Upheaval.
