Monument Quilt: A Healing Project for Survivors of Rape and Abuse

When: Wed., Oct. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2017
Phone: 216-368-7568
Price: Free
The Monument Quilt is a national ongoing collection of stories from survivors of rape and abuse, written, stitched and painted onto red fabric and displayed across the country. The quilt builds a new culture where survivors are publicly supported, rather than shamed, and expands the narrative of sexual violence by telling many stories. Over 1000 quilt squares have been collected and organized by FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture. Survivors and supporters will have the chance to create a square during the display, and resources from campus and community groups will be available. Location: corner of Euclid Ave and Adelbert Rd.
