Music and a Movie in Coventry Village

When: Thu., July 28 2011
While known as "Thirsty Thursdays" among twentysomethings, Thursday nights are family nights in Coventry Village, where the Summer Music & Movies series is now in its fifth year. Tonight's edition features the local classic-rock band Old Kids, kicking it in P.E.A.C.E. Park from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Once the band wraps up, the 1979 cult classic Breaking Away follows on the soccer/baseball field (just look for the giant 20-foot screen). Cartoons will be screened before the movie, just like at the drive-in: Who doesn't love that? Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, or even a Frisbee: The free event is open to all. And for the clearest sound, don't forget to tune to 91.7 FM. For more info, visit or call 216-556-0927. P.E.A.C.E. Park is at the intersection of Coventry, Euclid Heights, and Washington streets in Cleveland Heights. — Courtney Kerrigan
