Come to MOCA this afternoon and see the kids from MC2STEM, a Cleveland high school set in the Great Lakes Science Center, as they perform various social-justice raps and display speaker boxes they have designed and engineered themselves. MC2STEM was started in response to the low graduation rate Cleveland’s city schools experienced in 2011. The school employs an integrative curriculum based in real world scenarios surrounding physics, engineering, graphic design and language, and visual arts. Kids are often seen working on projects with tutors from NASA. The performance starts at 1 p.m. and is free. (Trenholme)
