Local homeschooled kids play F.B.I. of the Forest today, as they search for mushrooms, worms, and potato bugs at Brecksville Reservation. The program is part of the Cleveland Metroparks' Hiking for Homeschoolers outdoors series for children. The students will track down fungi, bacteria, and invertebrates on a 1.5-mile hike through the park's fields and woods. The kids are given magnifying glasses to make their sleuthing easier. Says Metroparks naturalist Claudia Keating, who leads the hike: "I want them to gain an interest in nature around them."
